We offer a variety of leg mounts which can be installed in table-leaf panels to help secure a hinge. The leg mounts can be potted and secured with adhesive, then the hinge is fastened to each leg mount.
Our standard leg mount is the LM-10/32-2.2. Is is a stainless steel tube which accomodates a #10 socket-head screw and is 2.2″ long. The HCTH-4S-180K, HCTH-4SR-180K, HCTH-44S-180K and HCTH-5S-180K hinge kits all contain four of these leg mounts and four black oxide mounting screws (10/32 x 1/2 socket-head cap screws).
The aluminum version of this leg mount is the LM-10/32-2A Leg Mount. It is 2″ long and normally comes with a 10/32 x 1/2 stainless steel socket-head cap screw. The HCTH-4S-180KA, HCTH-44S-180KA, and HCTH-44SR-180KA hinge kits all come with this leg mount. Any of our 4S, 44S or 5S family of hinges can be kitted with aluminum leg mounts by adding the “KA” to the hinge’s part number.
The LM-8/32-1.5 Leg Mount is the leg mount we use to kit the HCTH-3S-180 hinge. This leg mount is made from stainless steel, is 1.5″ long, and accomodates an 8/32 black oxide socket-head cap screw. Its aluminum companion is the LM-8/32-1.5A, is virtually identical to the steel version and can be ordered by requesting the HCTH-3S-180KA.
Finally, we use the LM-6/32-1 Leg Mount for the HCTH-2S-180K. This is just a small aluminum tube which is 1″ long and accommodates a 6/32 x 3/16 stainless steel socket-head cap screw.
